The Ryan Blackwell Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for youth, veterans, and members of our community. Through generous donations, the Foundation provides scholarships and helps cover the costs of educational and vocational training, trips, camps, equipment, and recreational opportunities.  By removing financial barriers and creating opportunities for growth, wellness, and connection, we strive to empower those we serve to continue to fight the real battlefield within.

Ryan was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he sustained while serving in the United States Navy. He sustained six gunshot wounds during the 2019 terrorist attack aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola.

Throughout his intensive recovery, Ryan remained determined to overcome his injuries, Ryan leaned on his passion for health and wellness. Engaging in various leisure and recreational outlets played a pivotal role in his mental well-being, providing peace of mind, a clear vision, and a realization of the need to provide those same opportunities to others.

That experience became the heart of The Ryan Blackwell Foundation-a commitment to helping others find strength, opportunity, and purpose.
